NABARD SIS Internship Program 2025: Earn ₹18,000 Per Month

NABARD SIS Internship Program 2025: NABARD (National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development) has announced the Student Internship Scheme (SIS) for 2025-26. This initiative aims to assign short-term projects and research tasks to students that are relevant and beneficial to NABARD. The scheme is designed for students pursuing postgraduate degrees in Agriculture and allied disciplines (such as Veterinary, Fisheries, etc.), Agribusiness, Economics, Agri-economics, Social Sciences, and Management. Additionally, students enrolled in five-year integrated programs who have completed their fourth year are also eligible. Indian students studying abroad can also apply for this internship.

NABARD Student Internship Scheme 2025-26 Total Seats

NABARD SIS 2025-26 has a total of 39 seats. Of these, 34 seats are allocated to Regional Offices (RO) and Training Establishments (TE), while 5 seats are reserved for the Head Office. Each RO/TE will be allotted only one seat. Due to special circumstances, the Manipur Regional Office will not be accepting applications. A detailed breakdown of the seats is provided in Annexure-I.

NABARD SIS Internship Core Themes/Areas

The primary objective of this scheme is to analyze contemporary issues and evaluate the impact of NABARD’s interventions at the grassroots level. All selected interns under SIS 2025-26 will be required to study one of the following four NABARD intervention topics:

1. NWRS (National Watershed Development Project) Financing for Farmers – Issues and Utilization
2. NBFCs Financing in Rural Areas – Coverage and Challenges
3. Tenant Farmers – Nature of Tenancy, Challenges, and Bottlenecks
4. Development of Value Chain in Fruit Clusters – Existing and Potential Interventions

NABARD SIS Internship Program 2025 Eligibility Criteria

• Students pursuing a postgraduate degree (having completed the first year) in Agriculture and allied disciplines, Agribusiness, Economics, Agri-economics, Social Sciences, and Management.
• Students in five-year integrated programs who have completed their fourth year are also eligible.
• Indian students studying abroad can apply for SIS 2025-26.
• Applicants must either be pursuing their degree in the state they are applying for or must be an ordinarily resident of that state. However, the seats at the Head Office in Mumbai are open to students from all across India.

NABARD Student Internship Scheme Selection Process

• Candidates will be shortlisted based on a weighted score system that considers marks obtained in the 10th, 12th, and Graduation levels.
• Final selection will be based solely on performance in the interview.

NABARD SIS Internship Duration

The internship will last for a minimum of 8 weeks and a maximum of 12 weeks. Interns must complete their projects between April 18, 2025, and August 31, 2025.

Disbursement of Stipend and Allowances
