AAI Junior Consultant Recruitment 2025 Eligibility Criteria

3.1 Essential Qualification

Candidates must meet the following academic and professional criteria:

  • Post-graduate degree in Psychology with relevant clinical exposure.
  • At least three years of experience in a clinical or organizational setting, or two years of experience as a Psychologist in any Indian Air Force (IAF) Boarding Centre.

3.2 Desirable Qualification

  • M.A. or M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology.
  • RCI License or at least two years of experience as an Aviation Psychologist.

3.3 Age Limit

  • The maximum age limit is 65 years as of February 21, 2025.

AAI Junior Consultant Roles and Responsibilities

The Junior Consultant (Clinical Psychologist) will work closely with medical and human resource teams to enhance the mental well-being of Air Traffic Controllers (ATCOs). The key responsibilities include:

  1. Collaborating with medical and HR teams to ensure the psychological fitness of ATCOs.
  2. Planning and conducting periodic training sessions on mental health awareness and preventive measures.
  3. Encouraging help-seeking behaviors among ATCOs and fostering a supportive environment.
  4. Conducting Mental Status Examinations (MSEs) and psychological assessments for referred or self-walk-in ATCOs.
  5. Administering, scoring, and interpreting psychological tests to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  6. Assisting the medical team in determining the psychological fitness of ATCOs for duty.
  7. Providing counseling and psychotherapy to ATCOs and their families as needed.
  8. Traveling to outstation airports to conduct mental health awareness sessions.
  9. Maintaining strict confidentiality regarding all cases and fostering a positive work environment.
  10. Creating and managing a database of psychological profiles for ATCOs.
  11. Performing other related duties as assigned by the management.

8.4 Travel Allowance

  • No TA/DA will be provided for joining or interview attendance.
  • Approved official travel expenses will be reimbursed as per AAI guidelines.

8.5 Attendance and Leave Policy

  1. Biometric/Manual Attendance is mandatory at the assigned reporting location.
  2. Consultants are entitled to 15 days of leave per year on a pro-rata basis.
  3. Unused leave cannot be carried forward or encashed.
  4. Absence beyond 12 days in a year will result in a proportionate deduction in remuneration.
  5. Continuous absence beyond 15 days may lead to termination of the contract.

8.6 Termination of Contract

The contract may be terminated under the following conditions:

  1. If the candidate provides false information at any stage.
  2. If the consultant is unable to perform assigned tasks effectively.

  4. If the consultant fails to meet deadlines or assigned milestones.
  5. If the consultant is found lacking in honesty and integrity.
